Travel Safety Policies
- Small Groups
The Yoga Dept policy is for small groups of no more than 18 people. The unique experiences we create sink into the culture and nature of each destination. We believe in the power of small-group, responsible travel—a key part of the yoga department travel policy that supports meaningful and mindful adventures. - Flexible Booking Policies
We all want confidence and assurance when we book and pay for travel. Since there are still some unknowns, our booking policies are set in line with these uncertainties.
Our 20% tour deposit charged at the time of booking through our website remains non-refundable (as per our standard terms & conditions).
In the event of border closures due to COVID-19 or a global health pandemic, you may choose to keep your tour funds in credit towards a future trip (valid for 24 months)—another example of how yoga department travel policy support flexible, stress-free travel. - Yoga Mat Policy
It is imperative that each traveller bring their own yoga mat. This ensures hygiene and reduces the risk of any mat sharing. In the instance that you don’t have your own mat, or you forget it, we shall ensure there are a few spares available for purchase on the tour. - Open Air & Out in Nature
Our tours are all about outdoor adventuring. We practice yoga in outdoor or well-ventilated settings whenever possible. In case this isn’t possible, we will ensure any yoga spaces have as much fresh air circulation as the location allows. - Mindful Health & Sanitation
Much of the sanitation process in rooms, kitchens, and restaurants happens prior to your arrival. Travelers are required to contact the yoga department with any adverse symptoms 10 days before departure. - Roommates & Single Rooms
If you are travelling solo (welcome!), it’s The Yoga Department policy to match all solo travellers with a same-sex roommate where possible. We’ll ensure your roommate stays the same throughout the journey.
Single occupancy rooms are also available, though in limited capacity. If a single room isn’t showing on your preferred date, please contact us, and we’ll do all we can to open one—just another way yoga department travel policy focus on comfort and flexibility for every guest.
We look forward to having you on board one of our many yoga tour adventures around the globe.
