Travel & Business Insurance for Yoga Retreats & Tours

All businesses should have some type of insurance to cover themselves and their customers. So, what happens if one of your students is injured on one of your organised Yoga retreats overseas that you have arranged yourself?

Firstly, ensure that any of your students that book on your Yoga retreat overseas, have full comprehensive travel insurance cover. Travel insurance should always cover travellers for unlimited, medical, hospital and repatriation, and cancellation cover. Knowing your student has this cover, means that you and they are fully protected in any unforeseen circumstances.

If you are arranging your own Yoga Retreat and add on activities such as sightseeing, this is when you would have additional insurance to protect you and your business.  This can be costly if you are only running 1 or 2 retreats a year and not worth the cost.

The best option for Yoga teachers, is to engage the services of a Tour Operator, who have specific travel industry insurances, knowledge, and expertise in any form of overseas travel.  A travel industry professional can assist you, with all your students’ bookings, flights and insurances, which saves you time and hassle and worry.

It’s always best to stick at what you do best teaching yoga and leave the travel arrangements to travel industry professionals.
