About the Tour

The state of Rajasthan is based in the mighty Western Thar Desert and is India’s quintessential desert lands of maharajas, medieval forts and festivals. It is the jewel in India’s crown and a must visit on any North Indian itinerary. We shall visit famous towns that showcase the unique version Rajasthani culture and at the same time enjoy practicing our Yoga in some exotic deserts.

Days 1 & 2
New & Old Delhi

Delhi, steeped in history yet overflowing with modern life, pulsates with the relentless rhythms of humanity like few other cities on Earth. We shall visit the highlights of New Delhi such as Connaught Circus and Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, a busy shopping area with markets full of spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry and vivid saris.

A highlight will be an evening spent at a Gurdwara Sikh temple for meditation and music.

  • Arrive at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport, group meet & greet and transfer to our hotel in the downtown New Delhi
  • Next day after breakfast, we head off for a full day’s sightseeing including visits to the Jama Masjid Mosque, Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial and Connaught Place
  • In the evening, we have a once in a lifetime experience visit to an Indian Sikh Gurdwara Temple

Days 3 & 4
Agra – The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, for reasons more than just looking magnificent. The tomb was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, for his favourite wife Mumtuz Mahal, an empress who died at childbirth.

  • Depart early after breakfast from Delhi to Agra
  • After checking into hotel and enjoying lunch, we take a scenic walk down to the Yumna riverside a popular place for viewing the Taj Mahal
  • In the evening, we head to a music and art emporium showroom and witness some Kalakriti cultural music
  • Next day, we enter the Taj Mahal at sunrise with our guide for a historical tour
  • Later we visit Agra Fort, which was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638

Days 5 – 7
Jaipur – The Pink City

Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region in the early 1700s. The Old City, or “Pink City” is known for its trademark building salmon pink color. At the centre of its stately street grid stands the opulent City Palace complex, which is a true highlight of this wondrous energetic city.

We have 2 full days to explore all this magnificent city has to offer

  • After a rooftop sunrise Yoga class overlooking the Taj Mahal, we depart for a scenic drive through the rural heartland of Rajasthan to Jaipur
  • Next morning, we enjoy a Yoga & Meditation class followed by a delicious breakfast
  • Rest of the day we embark on a guided sightseeing tour
  • In the evening, we shall see a Bollywood Film at the beautiful “Art Deco” Cinema Raj Mandir
  • On Day 7, we embark on a journey to Jaipur’s Amber Fort and afterwards visit some traditional Handicraft villages

Days 8 & 9
Jodhpur – The Blue City

Jodhpur is famous for its magnificent 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort, which overlooks the sprawling blue walled city. It is understood that the Brahmins, the priestly caste of India, that settled around the fortified old city, painted their houses in blue to identify themselves.

Soon after, the other castes that settled there followed suit and now the old city is bathed in blue and adds to its striking unique character.

  • Depart Jaipur after breakfast on a scenic rural drive. Along the way we shall see many animals such as camels, donkeys, and elephants
  • On arrival, check into our hotel, followed by an evening stroll around the old city and dinner in a traditional Rajput restaurant
  • Next morning, sunrise Yoga class on our rooftop, followed by breakfast and guided sightseeing tour through the local villages enroute to the Fort
  • At sunset, we partake in an adventurous zip line ride that circles the Fort with incredible view of over Jodhpur and the surrounding districts

Days 10 – 14
Jaisalmer – The Golden City

Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading centre in western Rajasthan, close to the Pakistan border. Known as the “Golden City,” it’s distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture. Dominating the skyline is Jaisalmer Fort, a sprawling hilltop citadel. Behind its massive walls stand the ornate Maharaja’s Palace and intricately carved Jain temples. After exploring the sites here, we shall immerse ourselves with a 4 Day Yoga Retreat programme at our gorgeous desert resort.

  • Depart Jodhpur on a scenic desert drive out to the Golden sands of Jaisalmer
  • Arrive and check into our hotel followed by a traditional North Indian Lunch
  • Next day a full day’s sightseeing in and around the Fort area
  • Next 3 days, we embark on a Yogic programme in a beautiful heritage resort
  • Our retreat program will be a mix of sunrise of yoga & meditation classes, talks on Indian Ayurveda, eastern philosophy and desert story telling
  • Languish around the glorious pool, enjoy massages in the spa and visit some local temples including the incredible Laxminath Temple, situated inside the Jaisalmer Fort, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi

Day 15
Day of Travel – Jodhpur – Fly to Delhi

  • After breakfast, we head to Jodhpur Domestic Airport for our flights back to New Delhi
  • On arrival, we transfer to Delhi’s International Terminal to connect with flights back to your home country
